Frequently Asked Questions
To make a reservation just go to the page of the trip you are interested in, click on the “BOOK YOUR TRIP” or “I WANT TO BOOK!” button and fill out the booking form. We will then share with you the trip contract and payment information.
Once you send us the signed contract along with the receipt of the advance payment, your reservation will be made!
Payment is made by bank transfer.
If you are finally unable to attend due to force majeure, the full amount of the trip will be refunded and no administration or cancellation fees will be charged.
In case of cancellation for other reasons, Cara a Cara Viajes will be compensated in the following amounts:
- Management fees plus cancellation fees if any.
- A penalty, consisting of 5% of the total amount of the trip if the cancellation occurs more than 10 days and less than 15 days before the start date of the trip; 15% between days 3 and 10, and 25% within 48 hours prior to departure. If you do not show up on the day of departure, there will be no right to any refund of the amount paid, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
In the event that due to extraordinary and unavoidable circumstances the trip could not be carried out, all payments made to the people registered for the trip would be refunded; as well as in the event that the minimum group of people established in the pre-contractual information of the trip is not reached. In the latter situation, notice of cancellation of the trip would be given within a period of:
- 20 calendar days before the start of the trip for trips lasting more than 6 days.
- 7 calendar days before the start of the trip for trips lasting between 2 and 6 days.
- 48 hours before the start of the trip for trips of less than 2 days duration.
You can transfer your reservation to a third person by communicating it at least 7 days before the departure of the trip, provided that the person meets the same requirements and paying to Cara a Cara Viajes the management fees that may apply. It may be the case that, depending on the type of service, the reservation cannot be transferred to third parties.
All our trips include a cancellation and assistance insurance that covers contingencies in terms of health, luggage and other problems that may arise during the trip, in addition to the expenses incurred in case you finally cannot attend the trip.
If you want to get insurance with more coverage, let us know and we will show you which options you can choose from. If you prefer to purchase your insurance independently, it will be discounted from the price of the trip.
In order to attend our trips you must be 18 years old or older, otherwise you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
In our trips we do not include airline tickets so that everyone can decide the dates on which he/she arrives and leaves the country of destination. This way you can visit the country on your own before or after the trip. The important thing is that we are all together on the first day of the meeting to start the adventure.
Please note that the transfers to and from the airport that we include in our prices are only for the dates of the trip. If your flights do not coincide with these dates we can help you arrange transportation, but it would not be included in the price.
The further in advance you book your trip the better, as groups are small and can get full quickly. In addition, there are many preparations for the trips that you can make ahead of time, such as gathering the necessary equipment, buying the flights or getting the recommended vaccinations for some of the destinations.
